Oracle Solaris Certification
The Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) is the foundation on
which some of the world's leading companies are built. Offering
high levels of reliability, availability, security, and
scalability, Solaris systems meet today's demands while
anticipating tomorrow's innovation.
Oracle's philosophy is that certification is central to the
learning process as it provides validation of knowledge and skills
required for specific job roles. Oracle certification also
offers a natural progression
to support your career goals.
- First, learn how to perform the essential system administration
procedures on the Solaris OS, and then demonstrate these skills by
becoming a Oracle Certified Associate System
Administrator.
- Next, we train experienced system administrators on the skills
required to administer Oracle systems in a networked
environment, which can be validated by becoming a Oracle
Certified Professional System Administrator.
Oracle offers the following Solaris 11 Operating
System (OS) Certifications:
Oracle also offers the certification
for Solaris 10 Operating System (OS):

Please note that the goal of Oracle certification is to
test on a particular job role. Thus, to prepare for a certification
exam we recommend Oracle training and six to twelve months of
actual job role experience. Oracle does not claim that by
taking courses you are guaranteed to pass the certification exams,
however we do state that Oracle training is an important
component in certification preparation. Please see training
preparation methods corresponding with each certification listed
above.
